The Jagaban Grassroots Movement has hailed the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on his appointment as Deputy Director in charge of Finance of the Presidential Campaign Council.

The group described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his leadership capacity, organisational ability and commitment to the success of the party.

In a statement on Sunday by the Coordinator of the group, Hon. Samuel Obasun, the Movement said Ododo’s appointment, alongside his designation as the Kogi State Coordinator of the campaign, would further energise party members and supporters across the state towards securing a resounding victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the January presidential election.

According to Obasun, the Governor had successfully maintained peace, discipline and unity within the party in Kogi State, stressing that the strong political structure under his leadership had positioned the state for a decisive victory at the polls.

He said, “The appointment of Governor Ododo as Deputy Director in charge of Finance of the Presidential Campaign Council is well deserved. His appointment as the Kogi State Coordinator of the campaign will further spur all the Ododo foot soldiers to work harder and deliver Kogi State to Mr President.

“Governor Ododo has ensured that our party remains peaceful, disciplined and focused. He has built a structure that is ready to mobilise the people and reward Mr President for the special interest his administration has shown in the development of Kogi State.”

The Coordinator noted that the numerous projects and interventions attracted to the state through the support of President Tinubu, as well as those executed by the Ododo administration, had demonstrated the benefits of the partnership between the state and Federal Governments.

According to him, the visible impact of the administration in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, security and other sectors would resonate strongly with the electorate and translate into massive support for President Tinubu at the January poll.

He assured that members of the Jagaban Grassroots Movement and other supporters of the President across Kogi State would work closely with the Governor and the campaign structure to ensure a comprehensive victory for the President.

Obasun said Kogi State was ready to reciprocate President Tinubu’s support for the state with an overwhelming electoral mandate, expressing confidence that Governor Ododo would lead the campaign to a historic victory.
