RHEMA @ 25: Nigerian youths should take their destiny in their own hands —- Prophet Anene Nwachukwu …Says appointment of Musa as Defence Minister will yield result
It was the manifestation of God’s faithfulness in his sanctuary at the RHEMA Deliverance Ministry, Iba, Lagos, Nigeria, on Sunday, 7th December, 2025, being the 25th Anniversary celebration of the church under the supervisor of the capacity oracle, Bishop (Prophet) Dr. Anene Nwachukwu.
During the Anniversary, the indefatigable man of God used the opportunity of the celebration to speak to SUCCESS DAMIAN on, not just about the church, but also on national issues. Excerpt:
25 years of RHEMA in Lagos under your watch, how do you feel?
Well today we thank God who has brought us this far and has helped us to reach 25 years as a church in Lagos, I am most grateful to God for His love and mercies over me and my members. I thank Him for the result and where he has brought us today.
How do you feel seeing your members succeed, we saw what happened today, your members bringing thanksgiving items to give to God?
Well, our church is a church of result, and all the men you see here are not struggling. The’re blessed through the grace upon my life; almost everyone here came in as poor people, and through the prophecies, God lifted them, they will tell you how they came to RHEMA, like this one here, (pointing), he has built a house worth N500 million at Ikota which I went to dedicate, and when he came here I was giving him transport money, with his wife, today he came with three cows, and every person here is happy, because despite the fact they came with cows, you still saw them make wows of N250k plus, upon the cows they came with. They are all here with joy, nobody was compelled to do anything, they do it joyfully and willingly because the result is there already, they are not struggling. That is the evidence of the grace that has been working in my life because I am capacity, indefatigable and pragmatic oracle of God.
I want to ask, a list has been released as sponsors of terrorism and banditry in Nigeria, do you think the list bears the names of the actual sponsors or do you think they are just foot soldiers while the main sponsors are shielded, that is one. Second, the appointment of Musa as Defence Minister, do you think, it will bring an end to Terrorism?
Well I don’t know about the list, if you have the list you can bring it, let me know. But the appointment of Musa as Chief of Defence Staff, is one of the greatest thing that has happened to Nigeria, because Musa, throughout his career in the military has been against terrorism, and he was a man who stood against terrorists and their sponsors. And the way in which he was retired was very controversial; and today for Tinubu to appoint him Defense Minister, that means Tinubu is now taking the fight against terrorism seriously. And I want to advise that Musa should not be allowed to work with Metawalle, Metawalle cannot help us in this fight, there are a lot of controversies surrounding him. So we need to clear the coast for Musa to work.I believe Musa will achieve result. Number one, he is a God fearing man, number two, he is a brave soldier, number there, he has integrity, so he will help.
Bishop, 25 years and still counting, what are those challenges that thickened you, that shaped you, and today you are a gallant soldier and capacity oracle, a bulldozer that you are, can you shade light on it?
One of the thinks that shaped my life is my spiritual and biological father, Bishop Dr. Arthur Nwachukwu. I must express my profound gratitude to him, for making me a brave man, for making me to stand tall in the midst of my friends and enemies. Number two, I want to appreciate God for my mother, Dr Mrs Patricia Nwachukwu, I am most grateful to my wife who has been there for me, from the inception of this ministry till now, though she is living in London with my children, I must tell you that she is part and parcel of what is going on even today. And then my children, you can see them standing for me very strongly. I must say God who has brought us to this level will continue to bless us because we have touched lives, we have made impacts, we have touched people both home and abroad, and I must tell you part of the reasons we are celebrating today, is me standing tall in the face of adversities, trials and temptations and frustrations. I was able to break through knowing fully well that He that called me is able to see me through.
What is that thing you believed God for, at the beginning, has it been granted and what else do you want God to do for you?
I asked that I want to be one of the ministers that God would use to decongest hell. I am touching lives, from the beginning, I expected to be a pastor that would be known globally, and my life has been a blessing to people. And today I can see that vision manifesting. I am not yet fulfilled, I am no longer there, but I am no longer where I used to be. There is a shift and there is a higher level we are trying to attend and by the special grace of God, we will attain it, and I must tell you that the lord has been there for us, that is why we are making progress.
What is your message to the Nigerian youths? Nigeria is experiencing a lot of things now. Your message.
Nigerian youths must know that in the face of adversity and troubles Nigerian youths can still succeed. The youths must know that our lives do not depend on the government. The government has failed us and I must tell you that great leaders always think about next generation, but politicians think about the next election. So the youths should know that they should be able to stand their ground, if they don’t employ you, employ yourself, if they don’t give you a job, put yourself in a place where you will be getting income in a legal way and never you depend on government for everything. Fight and find something doing. The bible says whatsoever you lay your hand to do, do for you will surely prosper. I advise the youths to be industrious, be hardworking with integrity, be focused and avoid distraction.
Your advice to President Tinubu as we march towards 2027
Well Nigeria is drifting to a one party system, the president, I believe, he has done his best but his best is not enough. If you look at the way things are going in our nation today, you will agree with me that we are not yet there, and there is no hope in sight. So we should pray for the president, we should pray as a church that God should intervene in what is happening. Even the bible says it, if my people who are called by my name should humble themselves and seek my face and pray, God says I will hear from heaven and heal their land. I believe that God must heal Nigeria, to become what they are destined to be, our president needs prayer, and our prayer can go a long way.
What message do you have for your members who have stood with you from inception till now and the new ones?
Well, if you listened to my preaching carefully today from exodus 17:8, I said Moses was standing on a mountain, and three men stood by him, as Moses hands were lifted, their own hands were also lifted, and there was victory for all of us. So as the boys are standing by me lifting my hands, theirs are also lifted, and we shall continue to make impact. And also those who are contributing and supporting us, must be blessed, and shall be lifted the way I am lifted. And as I am talking to you I am not on the floor, I am standing tall and ruling in the midst of my enemies. And I am proudly happy to tell you that God has shown me mercy, and is still showing me mercy and all of you who are here the mercy will be extended to you. When you are connected to a man of grace, grace will locate you and disgrace will be terminated. As I am being celebrated today you too shall be celebrated.
Bishop before I forget, you said God didn’t call you to come to Lagos, your father called you to come to Lagos, can you expatiate on this?
Well I was doing very well at Onitsha and I didn’t have vision of coming to Lagos, that is why you need to have a spiritual father who you listen to, who will mentor you and who will direct you. Not only God that directs, man can also direct. So my father who is also my spiritual father and mentor, called me and said we should go to Lagos ,and I should be the one to go, and I remembered that when God called Moses, Moses responded, but I am a stammerer, God said who gave you mouth, so if you are a stammerer, I am the one who created your mouth, go, and he succeeded in his ministry. So when my father called me to go to Lagos, I am aware, he is a man of God and he heard from God, I didn’t have to hear from God before I move, and I obeyed and today you can see the fruit of my ministry. My father sent me and God supported me and I broke through.
