A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Hon Chief Modestus Umenzekwe (Onwa Achina) has described the Deputy Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming November 8 Governorship Election in Anambra State, as not just a structure, but a builder, a pillar and a developer.
Umenzekwe, speaking in support of Donprof (Convener) Ikukuoma/Iyom Anambra Vanguard, added that Senator Dr. Lilian Uche Ekwunife is a highly respected Nigerian politician known for her dedication to public services and impactful leadership in Anambra State
He said that so many people have been shocked and surprised about Sen Ekwunife at this election, adding that so many appointees of government of Anambra State will leave there political party to join APC because of the name Sen. Dr Lillian Uche Ekwunife. “She has touched a lot of Local Government Areas, the fear of Uche Ekwunife is the beginning of wisdom
“God’s willing, joining her with Prince Dr Nicholas Ukachukwu has made the party a stronger political party,” he said.
Umenzekwe stated that Senator Dr.l Uche Ekwunife has done numerous good deeds in the lives of the people in different Local Government Areas like Awka North and Anambra State at large.
He noted some of her notable achievements to include her Legislative Contributions. “She championed policies addressing youth unemployment, women empowerment, and economic reforms. Her efforts led to the establishment of skill acquisition centers, enabling thousands of young people to gain vocational skills.
“In Education, Ekwunife initiated scholarship programs for indigent students, constructed classroom blocks, and donated learning materials to schools across Anambra Central.
“In Healthcare she prioritized health projects, facilitating the construction of primary health centers and organizing free medical outreaches.
“Additionally in Economic Empowerment, Senator Ekwunife advocated policies providing easy access to credit facilities, boosting economic activities and creating jobs,” Umenzekwe add.
