Anetekhai stresses criticality of innovative management strategies
Professor Martins Agenuma Anetekhai, Emeritus Professor of Fisheries and Aquaculture has stressed the criticality of innovative management strategies.
Prof Anetekhai took stance in his Goodwill message at a Workshop on Review of Sea Fisheries Bill and Fisheries Management Plan which took place at Best Western Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, between April 15 and 16, 2025.
He said, “As we deliberate, let’s focus on crafting innovative management strategies, embracing circular economy principles, and clarifying key terms to ensure effective implementation.”
Anetekhai who expressed delight to welcome attendees to the strategic workshop, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his visionary leadership.
“I commend Mr. President’s visionary leadership in establishing the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, a bold step towards harnessing Nigeria’s aquatic resources for sustainable economic growth.
He therefore wished participants fruitful discussions. “I wish you all fruitful discussions and look forward to our collective success in blue economic development,” Anetekhai stated.
