Dawah is sacrifice, its reward is limitless, boundless, let’s grab the opportunity now–Late Waheed Sodiq said before he passed away

On Sunday, 28 January 2024, the executives, members of Movement For Islamic Culture and Awareness (MICA) Alimosho Usrah, friends, associates, family members and others paid a visit to the Family of the Chairman, Consultative Advisory Board (CAB), MICA Alimosho Usrah, late Alh. Waheed Sodiq at their Alagbado, Lagos home.
The early morning visit was to pray, condole and show love to the family at this trying period.
Many guests who turned up, including the leadership of the Movement’s Headquarters led by the Vice Amir, Sulaimon Olokodana paid glowing tribute to a man many regarded as the Deen’s personified, a conscious Muslim, peace loving and very compassionate.
A former Coordinator of the Usrah, Najimdeen Abdulsalam talked about the deceased and read out his last message to him from his phone before his death on Monday, 22 January 2024.

He was very emotional and almost burst into tears.
He enjoined those in attendance to be steadfast, selfless and contribute their quota to the Deen. He prayed for the repose of his soul and Allah to keep holding the family.
Earlier, Sulaimon Arigbabu, prayed for the late Chairman, CAB as well as the family he left behind. He eulogised him, saying he never saw him get angry but rather smiling always. He was a nice personality. The MICA Headquarters donated cash to the family.
In a related development, the Coordinator, MICA Alimosho Usrah, Taofeek Junaid talked about plans, in form of endowment in the memory of Alhaji Abdul Waheed for the benefit of bereaved families as well as Maqbarah, a Muslim Cemetry.
He prayed for the dead, his family and those who came on the visit.
Former Coordinator, MICA Alimosho Usrah, Qazeem Afunku prayed specially for late Alh. Sodiq and his family.
The well attended visitation ended with vote of thanks by a brother of the deceased, Musiliu Sodiq. He emphasized how his brother’s death has made him a changed person and his willingness to do more in the deen beyond financial commitment.
Late Abdul Waheed Sodiq, until his death on Monday night, 22 January 2024 was the Chairman, Consultative Advisory Board (CAB), Movement For Islamic Culture and Awareness (MICA) Alimosho Usrah, Lagos, Nigeria. He was once the Coordinator of the MICA Alimosho Branch.
