Children’s Day: Kogi First Lady Describes Children As True Treasure Of Future …Urges Them To Shun Negative Influences, Embrace Hard Work

The First Lady of Kogi State, Hajia Sefinat Ahmed Ododo, on the occasion of 2026 Children’s Day celebration, heartily congratulates all children across Kogi State, saying that they are true treasure of the future.
According to the First Lady, children are the greatest blessing to humanity and the most valuable investment for a brighter future.
She noted that Children’s Day is not only a time for celebration, but also a moment for reflection on the collective responsibility of families, governments, schools, religious institutions, and society to nurture, protect, educate, and guide children toward becoming responsible and successful adults. She emphasised that every child deserves love, quality education, proper healthcare, protection from abuse, and equal opportunities to develop their talents and fulfill their God-given potential.
The First Lady expressed joy at the brilliance, creativity, resilience, and talents displayed by children across Kogi State, assuring them that the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo remains deeply committed to policies and programmes that will continue to improve their welfare and secure a better future for them.
She also commended teachers, parents, caregivers, and child advocates for their sacrifices and unwavering dedication toward raising a morally upright and enlightened generation.
The Kogi State First Lady encouraged them to remain disciplined, focused, respectful, and determined in their pursuit of education and excellence. She urged them to shun negative influences, embrace hard work and integrity, and continue to believe in their dreams, reminding them that they possess the capacity to become future leaders, innovators, professionals, and nation builders.
“As we celebrate our children today, let’s all renew our commitment to building a society where every child can live in peace, learn in safety, and grow with confidence and hope. Our children are the pride of today and the foundation of tomorrow’s greatness,” she said.
