Umenzekwe bags Business Excellence Leadership Merit Award 2025, dedicates same to ADEM Management

President, Adem Industrial and Commercial Complex, Coker/Orile, Lagos State, Chief Modestus Umenzekwe (Onwa Achina) has added another honour to the numerous feathers on his cap.

The latest honour came from the Young Achievers Initiative in conjunction with Pan-African Leadership Transparent Centre Abuja/Efizy Gold TV.

At the event which took place at Adem Industrial and Commercial Complex, on Friday, October 17, 2025, Umenzekwe was awarded Business Excellence Leadership Merit Award 2025.

Umenzekwe was recognized for his distinguished leadership in business world and in recognition of his selfless and exceptional tracks recorded growth and development in Adem Industrial and Commercial Complex.

In accepting the award, Chief Umenzekwe responded, “I don’t know what I have done to merit this award, though you said you have made some assessments, I thank God that in your assessment, you were convinced that we are doing a good job here.

“This award is not for myself, it is dedicated to my team because a tree does not make a forest,” Umenzekwe stressed.

Umenzekwe also thanked the leadership of Young Achievers Initiative, Pan-African Leadership Transparent Centre Abuja/Efizy Gold TV, for counting him worthy for the Award which was given at no cost.

Prominently renowned as Onwa Achina, Ugodiebube of Amesi and Ezechimereze, Umenzekwe disclosed that if he has opportunity of leading a conglomerate such as Adem Industrial and Commercial Complex again, he would still choose the same team.

Umenzekwe who used the opportunity to disclose his political journey, right from AD, AC, ACN and now, APC, thanked the Lagos State government for the wonderful work it is doing in the state right from the time of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as Lagos State Governor down to Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), Mr Akinwumi Ambode and now His Excellency, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

While thanking the state for the wonderful assistance and cooperation being given to the management of the Complex, said that Lagos is first among all other states in Nigeria both in economic growth, infrastructural development and security network.

He called on Ndigbo to continue to support the government of Lagos and remain law-abiding in all they do.

On his part, the Public Relations Officer of the international market, Chief Raymond Eze, speaking on behalf of the management of ADEM Complex congratulated their principal, Umenzekwe on the award, and said it was a well deserved honour.

He also thanked Young Achievers for counting Umenzekwe worthy of the award.
