Umenzekwe attends funeral ceremony of late Chief Damian Obiabueke Nnajioffor, describes him as father of illustrious sons, daughters

Honourable Chief Modestus Umenzekwe (Onwa Achina) former member, Federal Housing Authority (FHA) Abuja was live at the funeral ceremony of the late Chief Damian Obiabueke Nnajioffor, Ochendo, Otumbanadina 1 of Osina Ancient Kingdom.

The man who was listed among 100 most influential persons in Anambra State graced the ceremony in company of other red capped Chiefs, including Chief Felix Ezenwakpadolu (Igwe Nzeakonobi), Nze Mazi Azike (Ezeozo-obi) Nze Augustine Umenzekwe (Ezeoguejiofor).

Speaking at the event which took place on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Umuotuasi kindred, Eluama Village, Osina Town in Ideato North LGA of Imo State, described the late patriarch, Chief Damian Obiabueke Nnajioffor, as a man who lived a life worthy of emulation and a father of illustrious sons and daughters including the erudite Lagos based Media guru, Mazi Cyriacus Nnaji.

He said, “I have heard about the late patriarch, Chief Damian Obiabueke Nnajioffor, Ochendo, Otumbanadina na Osina Ancient Kingdom, he was a man whose footprints are worthy of emulation and he is a man of impeccable character, he was a man who fathered illustrious sons and daughters including my very good friend and Personal Assistance on Media, Cyriacus Nnaji.

“I pray the family continues to practise those principles and charismatically cohesive qualities he left behind so that love, peace and harmony would continue to reign in the family, amen,” Umenzekwe stated.

Umenzekwe commended the family for taking good care of their father untill he was called by by God almighty.

Chief Damian lived 107 year in his earthly surjourn.

Chief Umenzekwe who is also known as Ezechimereze, Enyimba Achina and Ugodiebube 1 of Amesi after paying condolences was welcomed by the Onowu and Traditional Prime Minister of Osina Ancient Kingdom, Chief Innocent Oguaghamba, Ahunwaelotanna of Osina.
