Ukachukwu’s leadership will favour Anambra State, catapult it to national grid status

It is now very obvious, looking back at the time of the primaries, that the choice of Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu (Ikukuoma Ndigbo) was a step in the right direction, a well calculated political move and a round peg in a round hole. His selection has changed the political dynamics and trajectory of the state since he emerged as the APC candidate in the forthcoming governorship election in Anambra State come November 8, 2025.

APC cannot continue to play the second fiddle when nationally they are the ones calling the shots. However the party can only succeed in this mission if it is ready and actually present a generally acceptable aspirant. As it is today, two other southeast states have matched words with action, Imo State and Ebonyi State are now within the control of the party, Anambra State, which is seen as the base of the southeast region, is yet to be connected to the national political grid. Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu is the only man who has shown wider acceptability, reachability, connectability, and empirically known to be an experienced politician.

Recall that in 1999, Ukachukwu contested for and won a seat in the Nigerian House of Representatives, representing the Orumba North/South Federal Constituency of Anambra State under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). As a member of the House of Representatives, Ukachukwu was vocal on issues relating to youth empowerment, rural development, and infrastructure. He used his legislative platform to advocate the improvement of educational facilities and road infrastructure in his constituency and the nation at large.

Chief Umenzekwe said, “Ukachukwu’s tenure in the House of Representatives was marked by his commitment to constituency development projects. He launched several initiatives aimed at providing basic amenities to rural areas, including the installation of water boreholes, electrification projects, and the construction of schools. His ability to effectively balance his legislative duties with his business endeavors made him a well-respected figure among his constituents.”

Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu (Ikukuoma Ndigbo), the owner of Prince and Princess Abuja, a real estate mogul who has done well, not only for himself, but also for his community, state and nation, is an astute businessman with wide network in oil and gas. He is an Osumenyi born political hero who has also distinguished himself in the world of politics. Formerly chairman of Abuja Municipal Council, Ukachukwu during his time at the helm of affairs, the Council witnessed the highest level of infrastructural growth and development.

Hon Umenzekwe added that embedded in his unblemished character is the spirit of humility, which has earned him elevation among and over his contemporaries. Though always in the service of his people, Ukachukwu has not been involved in any controversy, which is a credible signification of his unblemished lifestyle, call him a neat man, you won’t be wrong.

He said “It is now public knowledge that Anambra State needs grassroots leader like Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu to clean the mess in Anambra State, the rot and rudderlessness in leadership for which Anambra State has been known for more than a decade and it must stop now so that the state will have a breath of fresh air again.

“He has acquired the nickname of a grassroots politician, the first of its kind, who combined politics with philanthropy, a man who bears the burden of others as if they are his own, the downtrodden, the widows, the less-privileged, those with disabilities, the poor and the needy are in the majority of his payroll, he takes care of them and provides for them, making him a man with the best platform politically in Anambra State, no other politician in the state can match his wide reach and spread.

“His political trajectory is a testament of a proven track record of empowering communities and creating wealth, a businessman and philanthropist, he has invested heavily in education, infrastructure, and job creation, touching lives in ways few leaders have. His passion for development has already transformed many lives, and as governor, he will bring that same energy to drive Anambra forward,” Umenzekwe said.

The declaration of interest to run for the Governorship of Anambra State by Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu has sent cold shivers down the spine of politicians who have already declared their enthusiasm to run. Indeed the trajectory and dynamics of the game has changed, his vision, his eloquence, his expertise, his knowledge of the problems and the solutions on his palms as a visionary leader.

Those who previously thought that it would be an easy ride for them because of non-credible challengers, have now realised that the lion is in the forest, and they must scamper away. The truth of the matter is that Ndi Anambra are already tired of whoever that is there and they have given their consent to Ukachukwu. They know that Ukachukwu is better positioned to help their destinies by initiating policies that will have far reaching effects on infrastructure, roads, electricity, education, healthcare, environment, and realization of the various millennial goals meant for making our world a better place.

Anambra must not be found wanting in the indices of development, Anambra with their high level intellectual capacity, business acumen, industry, commercial orientation, a heavy player in entrepreneurship, Anambra people deserve better than what it is presently fed with. The man Nicholas Ukachukwu has the key to liberating Anambra from economic, security, educational, and environmental conundrum and quagmire.

An ambassador of legitimate means, Ukachukwu has demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit which saw him rise from grass to grace, hence engendering the spirit of mentorship in Nigerian youths in general and Anambra State in particular. Apart from his name which rings bell in the whole of Anambra, he has acquired the sobriquet of a grassroots politician, the first of its kind, who combined politics with philanthropy, a man who bear the burden of others as if they are his own, the downtrodden, the widows,  the less-privileged, those with disabilities, the poor and the needy are in the majority of his philanthropic handbook, he takes care of them and provides for them, making him a man with the best platform politically in Anambra State, no politician in Anambra State as of today who confidently  boast of the number of people queuing behind them than Prince Ukachukwu.
