SWAIAP announces commencement of Certification Enrollment Programme for 2024/2025
The Society for West African Internal Audit Practitioners (SWAIAP) has announced Enrollment into Batch 6 certification programme commencing on September, 2024.
The commencement of enrollment was made available in a press release by the organization on Monday, 8th July, 2024
In the statement ,Streams syllabus training, including exams for the new Batch (Batch 6) are as follows: Stream 1, September to November, 2024; Stream 2: March to May, 2025; Stream 3: June to August , 2025; while Induction & Certificate awards will take place in December, 2025.
According to the press statement, Timetable for each period would be released as appropriate.
The statement further disclosed that Registration is ongoing into any of the categories including Student Technician of West African Internal Auditors (STWAIA) for undergraduates and fresh graduates with less than 3 years of experience (Starters); Associate West African Internal Auditor (AWAIA) for graduates with 3 years of experience and above in assurance services field. This is the first professional certification programme.
Other programmes include Certified West African Internal Auditor (CWAIA) for professionals and/or holders of 2nd and 3rd degrees but less than 10 years post professional qualification experience. This is the second and final professional qualification category.
There is also, Fellow West African Internal Auditor (FWAIA) for professionals and/or holders of 2nd and 3rd degrees with a minimum of 10 years post professional qualification experience. This represents, senior Professionals in the Assurance services fields who have achieved fellow status in other recognized professional bodies. “No certification exams are written by this category, only refresher courses training.”
