Don’t bring Customs DG as NFF President, Nigerian football will die —- Primate Ayodele
Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has called on Nigeria’s football authorities to jettison their idea of bringing the Customs Controller General, Adewale Adeniyi, to take charge of Nigerian Football Federation top job.
He said that bringing Adeniyi would bring disaster to the nation’s football, adding that the football authorities should endeavour to recognize Rafiu Ladipo, former Nigerian football Supporters Club president.
Primate Ayodele said, “NFF if you put Adeniyi, Controller General of Customs as NFF President, Nigeria will never go to World Cup, Nigeria football will be locked, Nigeria football will be in disarray, Nigeria football will be in sorrow, Nigeria football will face challenges, Nigerian football will not prosper, mark it.
“Adeniyi is an error, the DG of Customs, give him something else. Don’t let him go to that seat of NFF oooo. I am telling you the honest truth, and nothing but the truth.
“The best person for the job is Suleiman, not Adeniyi.
“Adeniyi will even affect Tinubu’s victory.
“Ibrahim Gusau did well. I am a Christian, he is a Muslim, I am Yoruba, he is Hausa, that Gusau did very very well. Whoever is going to be NFF president, if you forget Rafiu Ladipo, NFF will not go smoothly. The Nigeria Football Federation Club, Ladipo has done well.
“People that are president are ingrate to this man. This man spent his money, he suffered for Nigerian football, they never rewarded him. Instead they never reward him, you want to go and bring another person, you never appreciated this man who suffered for Nigerian football for years. He is the one who built Nigerian Supporters Club, he is the one who built it. What have you done for him.
“You don’t even recognize him by giving him National award, you just left the man, nobody cares about him, and this is what kills our football.
“The next NFF president, if you forget Ladipo, then you are going to fail. You forget supporters cub, let everybody come under Ladipo.
“Let everybody come together under Ladipo, let him be General president of all of them, Ladipo has been good to Nigerian footfall.
“Don’t bring Adewale Adeniyi there oo, if you make it political, then Nigerian football will be politicalised and scattered. It will be scattered completely,” he said.
