Kogi Govt Approves Complete Reconstruction Of Amuro Community Secondary School

The Kogi State Government has approved the complete reconstruction of the Amuro Community Secondary School in Mopamuro Local Government Area of the state.

Kingsley Femi Fanwo, Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, noted in a statement on Sunday, that under the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) Project, a new Model Secondary School will be constructed to cater for both the Junior Secondary School and Senior Secondary School sections.

He stated that AGILE is a World Bank-supported project being implemented in collaboration with the Kogi State Government to improve access to quality education and create better learning opportunities for students.

The statement reads, “The Amuro Community Secondary School is one of the oldest secondary schools in Kogi West, having existed for over 50 years. Its complete reconstruction will provide a modern learning environment for students and teachers in the community.

“The approval is part of the ongoing efforts of the Kogi State Government, through the State Ministry of Education, to rebuild old schools and renovate several others across the State.

“The administration of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, remains committed to improving educational infrastructure and creating conducive learning environments for students across Kogi State.” Fanwo added.
