Primate Ayodele commends NDLEA chairman, Buba Marwa war on drugs

Primate Elijah Ayodele, Servant of God and Founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Nigeria, has commended Nigeria’s helmsman at the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Brigadier General Buba Marwa, for the wonderful work he is doing.

Primate Ayodele gave the commendation on Sunday, August 30, 2026, in Lagos while chatting with newsmen.

He stated that since taking over as the helmsman of the drug agancy, there has been a lot of improvements and urged the government to appreciate and reward the retired General.

He said that as a person who himself has done a lot of humanitarian activities in taking care of those who are addicted to drugs and have spent huge money in that regard, he knows what it takes to fight drugs in a country like Nigeria.

Primate Ayodele said, “Let me appreciate the NDLEA chairman, Brigadier General Buba Marwa Retd, for what he is doing, he has done so much for Nigeria. He deserves special award because the way he handles issue of drugs in Nigeria, I tell you, 100%, this is my personal thinking, to appreciate the man.

“I am not appreciating Marwa to love me or anything, and I want to appreciate the PRO of NDLEA too, Baba Femi, they are doing so much, because if not the way they are handling issue of drugs in Nigeria, a lot of youthful lives would have been perished.

“The president supposed to appreciate Buba Marwa, Nigerians supposed to appreciate Buba Marwa, I know what I am saying. A lot of youths have been rehabilitated, a lot of youths have been saved, I want to say Buba Marwa, God will bless you, you have done so so very well. God will give you long life, you have changed the lives of many youths.

“Myself I am involved in all these youth activities, it costs a lot of money.

“Since the time of Buba Marwa a lot of things have changed, it doesn’t matter the number of years you have spent there.

“If it can be possible, personally I can give him award, just to appreciate him because I know a lot of youths, this one drugs, this one on tramadol, this one…

“But since Buba Marwa, a lot has changed. He has done well, especially with the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) woman, Prof Moji Adeyeye, you see the youth with sachet drinks, it is not good.

“So I want to appreciate Buba Marwa and the NAFDAC woman, you have done so well, I salute you, thank you for helping Nigerian youths.

“Thank you to Baba Femi who is always very very proactive, this is the first time we have gotten it right. Right choice in NDLEA, you have done so well.

“I have shown my own gratitude to you, because I have also affected a lot to lives, who are drug addicts and I have been taken them, empowering them, spending so much money on them, thank you for the wonderful, miraculous magic you have done to minimize, drug use in Nigeria.” he said.
