Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his resounding victory at the presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), promising that the state will support the president’s reelection.

The governor described the outcome as a clear affirmation of the president’s visionary leadership and growing acceptance across the country.

Ododo noted that the overwhelming support received by the President at the primary election reflects the confidence of party members and Nigerians in his courageous leadership, reform-driven administration, and commitment to national development.

In a statement issued on Monday by the Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo, the governor declared that the reelection of President Tinubu has become a “personal project” for the people of the Confluence State because of the administration’s strategic support for Kogi’s development aspirations.

According to the governor, Tinubu has demonstrated uncommon love for Kogi State through landmark approvals and interventions that are capable of transforming the economic fortunes of the state.

“The Governor sees Mr. President’s reelection as a personal project to unlock the enormous potential of Kogi State. The President has granted approvals for the establishment of an airport, a Free Trade Zone, an Agricultural Processing Zone and many other transformational projects,” the statement noted.

Ododo stressed that Kogi people would continue to stand solidly behind the President in appreciation of his support for the state and his determination to reposition Nigeria for greatness.

“For us in Kogi State, the reelection of Mr. President is a reward for his love for the state and for the greatness of our nation. His economic reforms are reshaping our nation and laying the foundation for long-term prosperity,” the Governor stated.

He commended Tinubu for pursuing bold economic reforms despite obvious challenges, noting that history would be kind to leaders who make difficult decisions for the future stability and prosperity of their nations.

The governor assured the President of the total support of the government and people of Kogi State ahead of the 2027 general elections, saying the state remains committed to the ideals of progressive governance, economic transformation, and national unity championed by the President.

The governor also commended the President for submitting himself to the democratic process despite being the national leader of the party, saying this ideal has further endeared him to Nigerians.
