‘God’s Covenant of Peace and Blessings’, designed to remind people the true meaning of Easter —- Pastor Louis Chidi, PRO, The Chosen

The Public Relations Officer, The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement, Pastor Louis Chidi, has disclosed that the essence of the international crusade of the church, ‘God’s Covenant of Peace and Blessings’ was designed to remind people the true meaning of Easter.
In a release on Monday, March 30th, Pastor Louis who stated that the event which would take place on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th, April, 2026, at the Chosen Revival Ground, Along Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, Ijesha, Lagos, said that the special programme is divinely designed to refresh in people’s minds the true meaning of Easter: it symbolizes Jesus Christ’s victory over death, and thereby His victory over hopelessness and misery.
He said, “At Easter, we are reminded that God sent His Son to die as a sacrifice for the sins of humanity, thus, rescuing people from the certainty of eternal damnation. Through His death and resurrection, the covenant of peace and blessings that humanity originally shared with God at creation is restored.
“Because of this, Easter is inseparably linked to peace, hope, and blessing, the invisible chords that help people rise above sad and sordid circumstances, and that can otherwise weigh them down and leave them feeling without hope.
“Easter therefore brings that optimism that no matter how difficult or how challenging a situation or condition may be, having knowledge of the resurrection will remind you that if Jesus could defeat death, then all things are possible. It also suggests that as bad as the prevailing situation might appear, there is the expectation that things will get better if we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour,” he said.
He urged Nigerians to embrace peace and love in order to ensure growth and development of the country. “The nation is therefore urged to use the opportunity avail by the occasion of this year’s Easter to promote peace and love in the country, as this is the only way we can acknowledge and appreciate what Jesus has done for humanity. And truly if there is any time we need peace more than before in this country, it is now.”
Quoting what the lord Jesus said in Jn 14:27 which says, “ Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”
“God has offered us everlasting peace at no cost; however the cost of rejecting the offer of salvation will be high. If the world particularly Nigerians will acknowledge and appreciate this wonderful work of grace and by this invitation return to their Creator, then the nation and world will rejoice.
“This weekend as we return to God with apology for our sin, I am assuring you there shall be reign of blessing of peace and joy. And no participant will go home empty handed because God has scheduled the two days to renew with us the peace and blessings we had with Him.
“The program as usual is expected to attract an unprecedented crowd going by what was witnessed in the last event, so participants are advised to come on time. Free transport arrangement has been made by the ministry to convey people to the venue from any location within the Lagos metropolitan city,” Pastor Louis stated.
He said “The General Overseer Pastor Lazarus Muoka is inviting all to come and witness the demonstration of God’s power that will bring a lasting peace to the country. Come therefore, and God will do you good.”
