ACCoN now registered as Christian Faith Reporters Association

The Association of Christian Correspondents (ACCoN) has officially been registered under a new name, Christian Faith Reporters Association (CFRA), by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), marking a significant milestone in the organisation’s growth and evolving identity.

The leadership of the association has clarified that the registration under the new name does not in any way alter its vision, mission, objectives, leadership structure, or Board of Trustees, all of which remain intact.

CFRA continues to operate as a professional body of Christian journalists committed to ethical, responsible, and Christ-centred journalism. The association maintain its long-standing role as a media partner to the Church, providing accurate, balanced, and faith-driven reportage on matters concerning the Body of Christ and society at large.

Speaking on the development, President of the association, Adeola Ogunlade, said the new name more clearly reflects the organisation’s calling and scope.

“This is not a change of purpose, but a clearer expression of who we are. Our mission, values, leadership, and objectives remain the same. The new name simply aligns more strongly with our identity as reporters of the Christian faith,” he said.

The objectives of CFRA include advancing kingdom interest through Christ centred based reportage, promoting professionalism and ethical standards in Christian journalism, projecting Christ through the media, countering misinformation, fostering unity and doctrinal integrity within the Body of Christ and ensuring welfare and stability of our members

The association assured its members, partners, and stakeholders that the rebranding will not disrupt its operations but will instead strengthen its public identity, visibility, and impact.

CFRA reaffirmed its commitment to truth, accountability, and service to the Church and society.
