Edo Governor Appoints Osarodion Osagie as Senior special Assistant

Astute youth leader, Osarodion Osagie has been appointed Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Matters to the Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo.

A statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor (Esq.) said the appointment of Osagie takes effect from January 26, 2026.

Born in Benin City, and widely travelled, Osagie is known for cultivating global networks to support interventionist schemes in Nigeria.

Reacting to the appointment, he said “This appointment means a lot to me personally. It represents trust, confidence, and a call to service.”

He expressed gratitude and thanked the governor for finding him worthy to serve as Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Matters.

He promised to build strong bridges between the State and its indigenes in the diaspora, harnessing their skills, ideas, and resources to drive development, investment, and positive change.
